QuickMedia Distribution System Crestron QM-MD8x8
QM-MD8x8 Digital Input Signal Descriptions
INPUT DESCRIPTION
VideoEnter This input enables the video source select
analog for as long as the input remains high. For
most applications, this input should be set high,
which will allow all video sources to propagate to
the QM outputs immediately.
AudioEnter This input enables the audio source select
analog for as long as the input remains high. For
most applications, this input should be set high,
which will allow all audio sources to propagate to
the QM outputs immediately.
FrontPanelLockout
This input locks out the LOCAL button on the
front panel of the MD8x8 for as long as the input
remains high. When this input is high, the user
cannot switch the unit into local mode. However,
the user can use the front panel buttons to view
system connections. If the unit is already in local
mode, the activation of this signal will take the
unit back into system mode.
NOTE: When the front panel is locked, the MD8x8 will switch to the system mode
and use the switching schema specified by the control system.
QM-MD8x8 Analog Input Signal Descriptions
INPUT DESCRIPTION
VideoOut1 through VideoOut8 Select the QM video source to be switched to the
indicated QM output. Valid analog values range
from 0 (for no source) through 8, and correspond
to the QM 1 input through QM 8 input. Thus to
route a video source from QM In 5 to QM Out 7,
initialize VideoOut7 to 5d.
AudioOut1 through AudioOut8 Select the QM audio source to be switched to the
indicated QM output. Valid analog values range
from 0 (for no source) through 8, and correspond
to the QM 1 input through QM 8 input. Thus to
route an audio source from QM In 5 to QM Out 7,
initialize AudioOut7 to 5d.
NOTE: When programming the MD8x8 using digital and analog commands, serial
commands should not be used. Similarly, if the MD8x8 is to be programmed with
serial commands, digital and analog commands should not be used. However, analog
outputs can be monitored.
