Crestron QM-MD8x8 QuickMedia Distribution System

NOTE: The setting for the verbose mode is retained even after power to the MD8x8

is cycled.

NOTE: Commands can be sent to the MD8x8 regardless of the status of the verbose

mode.

When the state of the verbose mode changes to on, or if polled for status, the MD8x8

replies with one of the responses listed in the following table.

Switches all outputs. Where A1 is the audio

input routed to QM OUT 1, V1 is the video

input routed to QM OUT 1, A2 is the audio

input routed to QM OUT 2, V2 is the video

input routed to QM OUT 2, and so on through

QM OUT 8. Each value is 2 digits, and thus

can range from 00 (for no source) to 08,

corresponding to QM inputs 1 through 8. The

"xx" (or "XX") specifier should be used to

denote a "don't care" condition, in which case

the respective output should retain its state.

* Where “x” should equal 0 (for no source) through 8, corresponding to QM

inputs 1 through 8; and “y” should equal 1 through 8, corresponding to QM

outputs 1 through 8. Thus to route a digital audio source from QM IN 5 to QM

OUT 8, set the Control$ input to “I5O8A\r”. Alternatively, the command

string can consist of 2-digit values, e.g.,“I05O08A\r”.

NOTE: If an input greater than “8” or “08” is sent, the command is ignored.

NOTE: If an output destination less than “1” / “01”, or greater than “8” / “08”is sent

to the MD8x8, the command is ignored.
